Commotio Cordis sounds like a Hogwarts spell, to be followed by Perplexum Idiotus.

"legions of mud-creatures, typing furiously from their foul bogs"

I read, at first as

"legions of mud-creatures, typing furiously from their foul blogs"

As ever, a skewering of TPTB with an expertly sharpened sense of sardony.

That might have actually been better.

Both arguments: commotio cordis and McRNA elide the fact that NFL pads are GETTING THINNER AND COVER LESS AREA to look sexier on TV. A thicker and wider coverage breast-plate pad on Damar Hamlin would distribute the jarring heart concussion over the entire upper body, and not provide a resultant threat on just the heart area. No question. Now go look at his pictures in uniform during the game, he's wearing the mini-bra style chest pads.

This entire RNA vs Commotio Cordis (which medical theory, i might add, surprisingly showed up on youtube propaganda channels, within 15 minutes(!) of Hamlin going down....i swear man, that's fast) distracts from an even more fundamental issue of padding.
